PARENT VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for volunteers to help monitor and secure access to dancer ballrooms.
Volunteer Guidelines
Eligibility
Dance parent/relative with dancer participating in convention classes over designated event weekend
College Student with dance convention background
Responsibility
Check wristbands and lanyards for access on all dancers, teachers and observers entering the space
Must stand outside of ballroom door for first 15 mins of first class of the day. Remainder of classes, monitor from inside ballroom
In charge of the ‘Fluid Dance First-Aid Essentials Pack’
Make sure dancers and faculty are respected within the space by monitoring:
Observers voice levels are low and at a whisper when speaking amongst one another
Dancer bags, shoes and accessories are all tucked away beneath chairs or against walls
We would love each volunteer to monitor the same ballroom for both Saturday and Sunday of the event weekend, although not required.
